PathShaala

The name “PathShaala” blends the essence of the word path (मार्ग) and the classroom(कक्षा) to deliver the message ‘Bridging the gaps’ very clearly, but in a natural, flowing style.

SDG 4

Problem Statment

To bridge the gap between education and the demands of the industry, ensuring all round development/ opportunities of/for the youth and their professional future.

About the Project

After multiple field visits and discussions with mentors we decided to focus on two aspects:
1. Mentoring the students
2. Mentoring the mentors

So now since we were clear what we were about to do we came up with an idea of a Career Counselling App which would be giving wings to the users imaginations ( Note : User can be a student of 14 yrs or a Mentor/Educator of 40 yrs).

We started with some basic layout of the App and started doing some online research about the people searching for career counselling and what is already offered especially in India.

After going through a lot of pages and apps, we found one thing common in them. All of them were addressing some particular problems even some of them were like providing them a career option, just to choose particular fields, and that also they weren’t free of charge.

So, we decided to come up with the idea to give freedom to the user express his interests, in order to have a better career orientation, and at the same time make it 1. accessible to anyone and directly link  with the industry and its needs.
We decided to make a Questionnaire and based on this to suggest career paths to the users, and at the same time give them the opportunity of a better counseling by tracking their interests based on their social media performance

This is what we came up with initially :

To keep the users active over the app we decided to use the Rewarding approach, at every stage the user would be awarded with some points and the user can claim them for some coupons or something or to unlock some stages in the app in future.
